Episode 25:
Live Through
Vash is in emotional peril after having to kill Legato. He believes he is no better
than his twisted brother Knives. Meryl and Milly have taken him to a town away from where Vash
killed Legato. Milly is earning money as a construction worker, and Meryl is working as a
waitress. Vash slowly begins to recover until the towns people find out who he is and jump him.
They tie him up and prepare to kill him. Meryl is able to talk them out of it, and in the doing
so reminds Vash very much of Rem. This action inspires him, and he finally realizes what he has
to do. The next day he heads out to confront Knives. Before he can go Milly gives him
Wolfwood's cross punisher, saying he would want Vash to use it. The final confrontation has
been set into motion, and Vash is determined to save Knives.
