Episode 10:
Quick Draw
Vash is playing with the neighborhood kids and trying to pick up girls when he runs
into a loner kid named Neil. Vash asks Neil if he can eat in his mother's restaurant, to which
the kid agrees but says he will not give any handouts. Vash falls for Neil's mom in a hurry,
but is shocked to find Wolfwood working behind the counter to help her out. Wolfwood tells Vash
how Neil's father ran away and left a huge debt. Wolfwood signed Vash into a quick draw tournament
so they could give the money to Neil's mother. Vash signs Wolfwood up to repay the favor. The
two gunmen advance all the way to the finals fairly easily. Once there Wolfwood decides to forfeit
since they are giving the money to Neil's mother anyway. The organizers of the tournament won't
allow it. They want Wolfwood to take Vash out so they can collect the $$60,000,000 bounty on
Vash's head. They've taken Neil and his mother hostage to make Wolfwood comply. Vash and
Wolfwood put on an act for a while then take out all the opposing gunmen. Neil and his mom
are freed and their debt is payed. In the end Vash is helping Neil's mom in the kitchen when
Neil's dad comes back to town.
