Episode 8: Double Jeopardy
A new stasis pod has crashed, but Optimus and Dinobot fail to obtain it as
they are ambushed by Predacons. The Preds reprogram the protoform into the newest Predacon:
the black widow spider known as BlackArachnia. Meanwhile Optimus believes Rattrap may be spying
for the Predacons. He orders him to hunt for energon in a dangerous sector near the Predacon
base. Rattrap does so and is captured by Terrorsaur. The Maximal agrees to join the Preds to
the shock of all the Maximals. Terrorsaur makes Rattrap swear allegiance to him alone. The
Pred uses Rattrap to take Megatron down. Both Megatron and Rattrap are caged up, but both escape.
Turns out Rattrap's true mission was to find out how the Preds were breaking their codes. He
finds a Maximal decoder chip in their controls and takes it. The Maximals launch an assault and
Rattrap takes out Terrorsaur when he least expects it. The Maximal spy lived up to his
reputation.
