Beast Machines: Maximals
Optimus Primal- Primal is the Maximal commander. He has led the team since the
beginning of the Beast Wars. Upon reaching Cybertron he was contacted and drawn to the legendary
super computer known as the Oracle. Optimus is the only one who receives visions from the Oracle.
He feels responsible for what happened to Cybertron and is trying desperately to save the planet
and fulfill the will of the Oracle.
Cheetor- Cheetor has grown a lot since the Beast Wars. He has become second in
command on the Maximal team, and he even led them for a while after Optimus reformatted Nightscream.
He doesn't always see eye to eye with Optimus and is now more vocal than ever about it.
Rattrap- Rattrap's new technorganic body is devoid of weaponry. The former spy and
demolition expert is up a creek without a paddle against the Vehicons. He is now forced into
the role once filled by Rhinox: scientist and gadget expert. Rattrap now has a tail interface
that allows him to connect with almost any computer. His new tech abilities come in handy for
the Maximals.
BlackArachnia- The former Predacon hasn't changed much since the end of the Beast Wars.
Once she recovers some of her lost memories she makes it her mission to find Silverbolt. Once
she does, it becomes an even tougher battle to try and get the Maximal to remember how much he
loved her.
Nightscream- While training in the art of transforming the Maximals discover a bat
watching them. It turns out the bat is a Transformer. He's been living underground since
Megatron's drones took over Cybertron. He survives by eating the fruit of an organic tree. The
Maximals are puzzled by these two discoveries, but don't have much time for questioning as they
are attacked by Vehicons. In the heat of battle Optimus reformats the bat, who dubs himself
Nightscream.
Silverbolt- After serving Megatron as Jetstorm for all of season one Silverbolt is
brought back to the Maximals by BlackArachnia using Cybertron's core fluid. His tour of duty as
Jetstorm has changed him drastically. He has lost his honorable ways. Silverbolt's main mission
in life is to make Megatron pay for what he did to him.
Botanica- Botanica was exploring an unknown planet when her crew received a distress
call from Cybertron. Upon arriving her ship is shot down. The Maximals and Vehicons both hurry
to the ship only to be attacked by a savage plant. Optimus soon realizes that the plant is a
Transformer suffering from the effects of Megatron's virus. He reformats the plant into the
newest Maximal member: Botanica.
