Bio: Kenshin's real name is Shinta Himura. When he was a young boy, his parents died. Three women named Akane, Sakura and Kasumi took care of him. While they were traveling along with traders, they were attacked by maurauders. The three women were killed protecting Shinta. Just as the Shinta was about to be killed, Hiko killed the man who was going to kill Shinta, thus saving his life. Hiko told him to go to the village elders and tell them of what happened. The next day, to Hiko's surprise, he found that Shinta had buried all of the people killed. Hiko then decided to take Shinta in as his pupil, and gave him the name Kenshin. Kenshin mastered the Hiten Misturugi Ryu when he was fifteen. He decided to help the Ishin Shishi. His mater, Hiko, was very angry at Kenshin for using the Hiten Mitsurugi Ryuu for bloodshed. Hiko, thus, disowned Kenshin as his pupil. |

Name: Kamiya Kaoru

Fighting Style: Kamiya Kashin Ryu Kendo

Bio: Kaoru's father is the founder of the Kamiya Kashin Ryu Kendo. Kaoru took her father's place when he died. Before Kenshin came along, she lived alone. Dr. Genzai and his two grandaughters visit Kaoru as much as they can. When Kenshin came into her life, she never feels lonely. Kaoru is a sweet girl but she can get a very hot temper.

Name: Sagara Sanosuke
Age: 19
Fighting Style: Futae no Kiwami
Weapon: Zanbatou, Fists
Bio: Sanosuke joined the Sekihoutai when he was a small boy. He admired the captain, Captain Sagara, that he took his name as his own. When the Meiji government won the battle, they could not fuilfill their promises to the people, thus, they blamed the Sekihoutai; they treated them as traitors and massacred the entire troop. Captain Sagara was shot, but was able to save Sano by throwing him into the river. When Sano got to the town square, there was the captain's head on display. He still hates the Meiji government. |

Name: Miyojin Yahiko

Fighting Style: Kamiya Kashin Ryu
Weapon: Shinai
Bio: Yahiko's father, a Samurai, died defending his country. His mother died of an illness. A group of thugs took him in and made him work as a pick pocket. When Kenshin made him realize about keeping the pride, things changed. In truth, it was Kaoru who felt sorry for him and took him in. He never seemed to get along with Kaoru, however, he admired Kenshin. He was, however, annoyed that Kenshin would rather babysit, cook, or do the laundry rather than teach him the Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu.

Name: Seijuurou Hiko

Fighting Style: Hiten Mitsurugi Ryuu
Weapon: Katana
Bio: Hiko is Kenshin's sensei. Hiko was the thirteenth successor of the Hiten Mitsurugi Ryuu. He saved Kenshin from the bandits that murdered Kenshin's three friends. He took Kenshin as his pupil because of the pity he felt for him. Hiko was against Kenshin joining the Ishin Shishi.
