Hatake Kakashi |
An eccentric Jounin of the Hidden Leaf who was trained by the Fouth Hokage himself. Kakashi's main goal is to protect his comrades and to never let them die. Kakashi is always late and can often be found reading "Come Come Paradise." He has the Sharingan in one eye, and is often called the CopyCat Ninja for copying over a thousand jutsus using it. Kakashi is responsible for Sasuke, Naruto, and Sakura.

Sarutobi Asuma |
An extremely strong jounin who is the only one to smoke. Asuma uses chakra at the tip of his weapons to give them invisible extended power. Asuma is responsible for Shikamaru, Ino, and Chouji.

Maito Gai |
An odd Jounin who is responsible for Lee, Tenten, and Neji, Gai is a strong Jounin who is considered Kakashi's "Eternal Rival." Although it is not specifically stated, one can assume that Gai is a Taijutsu master who rarely uses Ninjutsu.

Yuuhi Kurenai |
A rookey Jounin, in charge of Kiba, Hinata, and Shino, Kurenai specializes in strong genjutsu. Not much is known about her, except that she performs Genjutsu attacks.

Ebisu |
Jounin who trains Hokage hopefuls. Often referred to as a "Closet Pervert." |
Morino Ibiki |
Often referred to as the "Master of Interrogation," Ibiki was the first examiner for the Chuunin Exams.

Mitarashi Anko |
A former student of Orochimaru, Anko is a strong female Jounin who was the second examiner for the Chuunin Exams. She almost used a forbidden jutsu to kill herself and Orochimaru, however, Orochimaru used a jutsu to prevent her from doing so.

Sennins

Jiraiya |
One of the legendary three, Jiraiya masters strong Ninjutsu and summoning techniques. He is extremely perverted, and
will do almost anything to hang out with the ladies. Jiraiya
trains Naruto for some of the series, teaching him one of the
Fourth's own Jutsu, Rasengan. Jiraiya is sealed to the Toad. |
Tsunade |
The second of the legendary three, Tsunade is an extreme gambler, also known as the Legendary Sucker. Tsunade is approximately fifty, but looks much younger due to a de-aging jutsu. Tsunade is a medical specialist, who has lost two important people to her. She eventually becomes the 5th Hokage of the Leaf Village. Tsunade is sealed to the Slug.

Orochimaru |
The last of the legendary three, Orochimaru uses forbidden jutsu and can make his appearance change into someone completely different. He claims he can perform a jutsu that can resurrect the dead, but that has yet to be proven. Orochimaru's arms were badly injured after the fight with The 3rd Hokage (Sarutobi-sensei - The sensei who was trained for the three sennins) in which he killed the Third. Orochimaru is sealed to the Snake. |
